Clearing Your Cache & Cookies

When using an internet browser, some information from websites are saved inside the browser's cache and cookies. Clearing them fixes certain problems, like loading or formatting issues on websites. By regularly clearing your browser cache and cookies, you'll better protect your privacy and improve your internet performance. 

In Chrome

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click More .
  3. Click More tools  Clear browsing data.
  4. At the top, choose a time range. To delete everything, select All time.
  5. Next to "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files," check the boxes.
  6. Click Clear data

In Safari

  1. Click on the Safari drop-down menu and select Preferences.
  2. Click the Advanced tab. Select the Show Develop menu in the menu bar checkbox and close the Preferences window.
  3. Select the Develop drop-down menu. Click Empty Cache.
  4. Select the History drop-down, then Clear History.

In Firefox

  1. In the Menu bar at the top of the screen, click Firefox and select Preferences.
  2. Select the Privacy & Security panel.
  3. In the Cookies and Site Data section, click Clear Data.
  4. With Cached Web Content and Cookies and Site Data check marked, click the Clear button.
  5. Close the Settings page. Any changes you've made will automatically be saved.

In Microsoft Edge

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Go to Privacy
  3. Clear browsing data
  4. Then select Ctrl+Shift+Del.
