Club Calendar of Events

MembersFirst has made an upgrade to a key feature in our Club Calendar of Events system! We realize admins are often scheduling events that occur multiple times a week over a long period of time. Historically, it was required for admins to create individual repeating events on each day of the week these events occurred. To ease this process, we have enhanced the Club Calendar of Events "Copy" function to include the option for admins to select multiple days each week to show these events.

An example of how this can help administrators would be: A club runs a Bridge game every week from 2:00pm to 4:00pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Previously, club administrators would need to create three separate recurring events, one each for Monday, Wednesday and Friday. With this enhancement, club administrators only need to create one event and can select each day of the week these events will occur.

Our club administrators will also notice a new option when copying existing events to "Update Registration Dates using same offset." By selecting this box, the system will generate the same registration window dates from the event start as they are in the original event for the newly copied event(s).

Going off our example from before: If the Bridge game on Mondays allows members to begin registering the Friday prior, or 3 days prior, our system will match the registration window to the Wednesday Bridge game (with registration opening on Sunday), and the Friday Bridge game (with registration opening on Tuesday.)

This new functionality can be found in the same area as the current "Copy" function, but has the upgraded view to include the selection of multiple days. With this upgrade, we are creating more efficiencies for our club administrators when creating recurring events.
